Stomp! Stomp! Hear the rhythm of their footsteps, like an army marching where others were too afraid to tread. They are silent, but alert, ever wary of what is lurking in the green beyond. Do they have a purpose? Yes. They have to feed their gigantic families and those that feed on them. So why, I ask, does our kind step on them? Or squash them without the slightest bit of guilt? But then I remember we kill them because they are the ones that threaten our perfect picnic lunches, Annoying little ants!

We We sing together, although my voice isn't the best. We fail together on very hard tests. We share our lunches when they involve sugars. We share our germs when they involve boogers. We cry together when finding boys icky. and chew gum together, even when it gets sticky. We laugh together and we all have blonde moments. We love each other just as much as our parents. and I know they'll be there, when the going gets tough, to help me get through whatever it is that's rough. so I'd just like to say, "Thanks to you all. and for the rest of our lives, let's have a ball!"

What am I supposed to do? He thought as he stared up at the gray ceiling. What exactly happened? So many questions were racing through his mind. His mind still hadn't fully registered what had happened. He wasn't even sure himself. He looked around, trying desperately to recall where he was and what had happened. He was standing in what appeared to be a stone cellar. It had the feel of a castle about it. The old musty smell of being left alone for too long was all about him. He looked on the wall to his left and noticed a blazing torch sitting on the wall. His eyes had a hard time adjusting, as if he had been in the dark for too long. Ha
